What type of venue is the Cliffside Venue?
Cliffside - Conference, Retreats & Events is an all-inclusive Glam Camping events facility venue where groups can get together for a conference, celebration or event. A space exclusive to you and your group only. A venue that is one-of-a-kind and like no other. An oasis to whisk your team away to. An escape the team will remember and talk about for time to come.
Is there a minimum group size required for a function in the Cliffside Venue?
While the Glam Camping Venue is ideal for groups between 15-80 people, we can cater for groups both larger and smaller, however a minimum spend does apply to all events. Please enquire for further details.
What is the maximum group size for an event in the Glam Camping Venue?
The Cliffside Venue can sleep 48 twin share/double or 24 guests in their own room. We also welcome bigger group sizes with overflow accommodation at our neighbouring Castaways Resort Villas, just a two-minute drive from the Cliffside Venue.
For weddings we can seat 48 guests for a sit-down meal, 80 guests for casual dining (spread across our dining & lounge and outdoors areas) and 100 guest cocktail style.
Can we bring our own food or beverage?
No – All food & beverage is to be chosen from the Cliffside menu, no food or beverage can be brought into the Cliffside Venue & no food or beverage can be taken from the venue. Cliffside is a fully licensed venue.
What time is check in and check out?
Check in and out is dependent on what your group selects to do. Over night stays check in after 3pm and check out of before 10am
Can you cater to food allergies?
Absolutely, however all dietary allergies must be advised prior to arrival as we will need to pre-arrange/order food in specifically.
Can we bring our own alcohol?
No- the Cliffside Venue is a fully licenced premise and we must strictly abide to this.
What time does the bar close?
The bar closes at 11pm each evening.
Do you have music?
Yes, all music is provided by our onsite system.
Can we bring in a band?
We provide music via our system. However, we have some really great alternatives & options for live music. Enquire for more info.
Can we bring in decorations?
The Cliffside Venue is pre-decorated and hired as is. This takes all the work away from you as we already have it covered.
We also provide all tables, chairs, plates, cutlery etc taking all the stress away from you on your big event.
Any exceptions to this must be pre-approved.
Is there heating?
The Venue is an outdoor glam camping facility therefore you will need to bring your winter woollies.
The venue features an amazing outdoor fire and seating area.
Each accommodation room has electric blankets.
The conference and dining room have heaters and plenty of warm blankets.
What footwear should I wear?
It is recommended guests wear flat shoes as there is varying terrain
How do we access the venue?
Guests are to gather at the main car park at your organised arrival time where your host will meet you, prior to being escorted to the Cliffside Venue.
Do we need a 4WD?
The main Car park and Car park ‘B’ are accessible via 2WD.
Past car park ‘B’ to the Venue is accessible by 4WD only.
Can we leave the Glam Camping Venue at any time?
The venue is designed for you to stay at for the duration of your stay. We advise against off site activities, but if you do wish to leave and require transport from our team – this must be on your noted run sheet.
Guests are able to transport themselves and their own visitors in a safe manner to and from the Venue.
No travel via foot after dark.
Is there cell phone signal?
At the Cliffside Venue there is One NZ cellphone signal.
We do have wifi. We recommend unplugging, but if you would like to stay in touch with loved ones you can turn your wifi calling on to use your phone and calling as you would when in service. - our friendly team can assist to set this up if needed.
We also have landlines onsite that can be used at any point.
Is there Wi-Fi?

Can we cook our own food?
We supply a chef to cook all your food for your event. You are able to join in and make your own pizzas.
Can we have visitors?
All contractors, set up personal, or any additional people required to be at your event must be pre-approved & be recorded on your event runsheet with names, pick up and departure times. Guests are able to transport themselves and their own visitors in a safe manner to and from the Venue or we can orgainse cliffside staff to cover this.
Are children allowed to stay at the venue?
All guests must be 18 years or older. Cliffside must be advised if any guest are under 18 years of age prior to the booking confirmation. No children younger than 14yrs old.
Can we access the beach from the venue?
The Cliffside Venue is situated on the cliff tops and does not have beach access – access to the beach is via the main road.
